Shave for a Cure | Auckland | 2021
It’s been 10 years since my husband last shaved off all his hair to raise money for Kiwi’s living with blood cancer. This particular crop has been growing for nearly 5 years. No doubt we will start the cycle again, and be back here in 5 or 10 years time.
On a muggy and rainy Saturday afternoon in North West Auckland a small few of us got together, under the cover of a large ventilated shed, to give James the chop. Ruairi has never seen his Dad with short hair, and Ciara took an unexpectedly exuberant interest in chopping at her Dad’s head!
Shave for a cure relies purely on donations for fundraising. They provide key services for Kiwis living with cancer, patient support programmes, research, information, awareness, and advocacy.
If you or your loved ones need support from this organisation, contact them at 0800 15 10 15 or if you’d like to jump in and raise some money too, get hold of them at www.shaveforacure.co.nz.
For all those that sponsored James, THANK YOU!
