I created this because I needed it too.

As a mum, I love Christmas — the music, the magic, the tiny traditions.
But let’s be real: most of the season ends up sitting squarely on our shoulders.

It’s not “naughty or nice” lists anymore — it’s groceries, gifts, work parties, wrapping, school concerts, everything.

We make the magic for everyone else.

You might know me from my calm, connection-focused family sessions — but this? This is something different. And I’m here for it.

Beers With The Big Guy is my way of bringing the joy back to grown-up Christmas.
No stress. No awkwardness. Just genuine laughs, great photos, and a moment that’s actually for you.

I’ll guide you through every shot so you feel confident and relaxed — no idea what to do with your hands? I’ve got you. Not sure if your outfit works? I’ll help you nail it before you arrive.

    You’ll receive a private online gallery to choose your favourites.
    Five high-res images are included, and you’ll have the option to upgrade if you love the full set.

Let me answer some questions that might come up!

  • How many people can come to a session?

    Each session is for up to four adults.
    If you have more than four in your group, just book two back-to-back sessions — we’ll keep the flow going and make sure everyone gets their moment.

  • What’s included in the session?

    You’ll get a 15-minute photo session in a beautiful Christmas set, a welcome drink (beer, bubbles, or a non-alcoholic option), a full prep + style guide beforehand, and five high-res edited images to choose from in your private online gallery.

  • Can I come solo?

    Absolutely — come solo, bring a mate, your sibling, your partner, your work bestie. This is about celebrating your kind of Christmas.

  • What should I wear?

    Whatever makes you feel great. Dress it up or keep it casual — I’ll send you a style guide with tips once you book to help you feel camera-ready.

  • Will Santa be in all the photos?

    Nope — only if you want him to. We’ll do a mix of photos with and without the Big Guy, depending on what you’re after.

  • Can I bring my own drinks?

    We’ve got drinks sorted for you on arrival — but if you have a special something you’d love to include, just let me know when you book.

  • Where are you located?

    All sessions take place in my cosy Helensville studio, styled for Christmas with plenty of space to relax, laugh, and enjoy the moment.

  • When will we get our photos?

    Within two weeks — so you’ll have them in plenty of time for gifts, cards, or just to enjoy them before Christmas.
