Who Petite Sessions are designed for
Petite Sessions are made for one immediate family unit with young kids. Mum, Dad, and the littles. Up to 5 people, one scene, one beautiful half hour.
If you've got a bigger crew, extended family coming from out of town, or teenagers who'd rather be literally anywhere else, my Full Storytelling Sessions are a much better fit for you. More time, more flexibility, more room to let everyone just be themselves.
It's pretty simple, actually
Step 1 — Pick your date
Petite Sessions run on one Sunday morning per month. I release dates about 6 weeks in advance and spots go fast. Check what's available and grab yours before they're gone.
Step 2 — Book and pay online
Everything happens through my booking system. Choose your time, fill in a few quick details about your family, and pay securely online. Done.
Step 3 — Get your prep guide straight away
The moment you book, I'll send your prep guide and a mini style guide. Everything you need to know about what to wear, how to get there, and what to expect. (Spoiler: it's way more relaxed than you're imagining.)
Step 4 — Show up and have fun
That's genuinely the whole job. I'll handle everything else.
Step 5 — Receive your gallery
About 3 weeks after your session, your gallery goes live. You choose your favourite 10 images.
If you fall in love with more than 10 (most people do, fair warning), you can upgrade to the full gallery for $400.

Hi, I’m Aisling
(pronounced Ashling, it’s very Irish)
When I had my own maternity photos taken, I was eight months pregnant, I felt big and awkward and sore. I was put into stiff and unnatural poses and I was so uncomfortable it was hard to even force a smile. The images felt so unnatural and were expensive and time consuming (three trips to the studio in the city!!) and the worst part is now they're hidden away in the back of my wardrobe.
After this experience I found myself in a position many other parents do too: I wanted beautiful and natural photos of such an exciting time in my life, but ended up with something awkward, posed, and nothing like real life.
Fast forward nine years and I now run a successful photography studio on our family farm in North West Auckland, where everything is designed to be the opposite. Comfortable, relaxed, and full of ease.
As a mum of three little kiddies, I feel each stage falling through my own fingers and I know how deeply you'll want to remember it all.
Inside the Petite Studio Sessions, I'll give you exactly that. Beautiful images you'll proudly hang in your home. Photos filled with joy, connection, and all the little quirks that make your family unique. Doesn't steal your time, doesn't cost the earth!

A: 30 minutes in the studio, 10 beautifully edited high-resolution images. You'll also get a prep guide and style tips before the day. Simple as that.

66A Kaipara Coast Highway, Helensville. We're on a working farm about 40 minutes north-west of central Auckland. The driveway is about 1km long, gravel, and a bit steep. Just take it easy and you'll be fine. Free parking right at the studio door.

I'll send you a mini style guide when you book. Short version: coordinate, don't match. Neutrals, earth tones, and soft colours photograph best. Avoid neons, big logos, and busy patterns. Comfort beats perfection every time, especially for kids.

Always. The studio is warm and cosy. Shoes off is fine. Socks with holes are part of the experience. There are props and things for kids to explore, which is usually where the best photos happen.

Then they're being kids, and that's completely fine. I don't need anyone to sit still or perform. Some of my favourite ever images came from kids who were "not cooperating." Trust me on this one.

Life happens, especially with little ones. If someone's unwell, we'll reschedule. No stress, no penalty. Just let me know as soon as you can.

Petite Sessions are designed for one immediate family unit, up to 5 people. If you'd love grandparents, extended family, or the dog involved, a Full Storytelling Session gives you the time and space for that. Pets and grandparents tend to need a bit more room to breathe!

Petite Sessions are studio only, one beautiful scene. That's what keeps them quick, affordable, and stress-free. If you want outdoor, beach, or multi-location, check out the Full Storytelling Sessions.
